When you come off the train in Mechelen get on the ZOO Planckendael Express at the rear of Mechelen station. You cannot miss it. It’s a splendid bus featuring all kind off animals.

The Express leaves every 15 minutes from the rear of Mechelen station and takes you to the park entrance in under 10 minutes. Just like a limousine! Leave the station at the back and follow “ZOO Planckendael Express” pictograms to the shelter of our bus connection where you can wait for the next ZOO Planckendael Express.

The ZOO Planckendael Express runs from Easter holidays until the end of September, during all school holidays, weekends and bank holidays.

Can I take the ZOO Planckendael Express on the day of my visit?

The first Express departs at 9.45 am from Mechelen, the latest shuttle from Planckendael leaves fifteen minutes after the park’s closing time. The two Express busses drive back and forth, each with the capacity to transport 100 visitors.

Return ticket fare on standard days, without reservation (from the Easter holidays until the end of September, during all school holidays, weekends and bank holidays).

Members who want to enjoy a day at ZOO Planckendael can pay a preferential rate to take the same Express bus all the way to the gate.
