When you come off the train in Mechelen get on the Planckendael ZOO Express at the rear of Mechelen station. You cannot miss it. It’s a splendid bus featuring all kind off animals.
The Express leaves every 15 minutes from the rear of Mechelen station and takes you to the park entrance in under 10 minutes. Just like a limousine! Leave the station at the back and follow “ZOO Planckendael Express” pictograms to the shelter of our bus connection where you can wait for the next Planckendael ZOO Express.
Timetable Planckendael ZOO Express
The Planckendael ZOO Express operates according to a fixed timetable. Please consult the calendar to check whether the Express will be running on the day of your visit.
The first Express departs at 9.45 am from Mechelen, the latest shuttle from Planckendael ZOO leaves fifteen minutes after the park’s closing time. The two Express busses drive back and forth, each with the capacity to transport 100 visitors.
Ticket prices
To celebrate the opening of the new entrance, the Planckendael ZOO Express will run FREE of charge for all visitors from Monday 16 February until the end of the spring half-term holiday.
NEW: ZOO members travel FREE on the Planckendael ZOO Express.

For groups of 30 persons and more, you can book the Planckendael ZOO Express on any day of the year. Reservations subject to availability. Please book at least 3 weeks in advance.
